About

Surrounded by a family of lawyers (including my parents) and psychologists (including my wife), I‘ve always been struck by the power of authentic counsel. My Dad often said the best part of his job was when he felt like a true adviser to his clients. Instead of just pushing paper, he was helping them solve important problems, offering the best advice based on his knowledge and perspective. Core to my wife’s work is helping her patients address challenging topics head on, even when it seems too difficult to bear or the path forward isn’t obvious. Their example has shaped my approach, emphasizing the intersection of strategic analysis and empathetic support in my work. It's not just about metrics; it's about understanding people's needs and helping them navigate their path towards success.

Friends and family often describe me as "enthusiastic" – and throughout my life, I’ve been most fulfilled when I’m able to share this enthusiasm with others. In high school, I was voted “Most School Spirit.” In college, I worked as a campus tour guide and was a play-by-play broadcaster for our basketball team. This passion is why I'm drawn to growth investing. Developing conviction in a company and its leaders, and then partnering with them to build something great is a dream job for me. Serving as a consigliere, confidant, and cheerleader – whether the chips are up or down – gets me excited to go to work every day.

On healthcare

Navigating healthcare is all about pattern recognition - it reminds me of the Mark Twain quote, "History never repeats itself, but it often rhymes." Our approach is to bring a team effort to each portfolio company to help solve the trickiest problems. If a business is struggling to gain alignment with payers or break in with big pharma, the odds are good that one of our partners or another portfolio company has faced those same issues, and we can leverage those learnings and connections to find a solution. Across dozens of investments and decades of combined experience in the sector, we've almost surely seen it before, even when the challenge at hand feels insurmountable.
